Temperature sensor with a unified output signal TSPU-002 is designed to measure and convert the measured value into a 4..20mA, 0..10V, or RS-485 signal. TSPU-002 sensors are used for measuring ambient temperature, as well as temperature of liquid, gaseous, and bulk media in various industries. The operating principle of temperature sensors with unified output signal TSPU-002 (4-20mA, 0..10V) is based on the property of copper (platinum) to change electrical resistance depending on the temperature of the medium. The conversion unit transforms the resistance value into a current signal (voltage signal) proportional to the temperature value. The change in current (voltage) is recorded by the secondary device into which the PTU is integrated in the measurement circuit. The TSPU-002 construction is non-disassemblable. Thermoresistors differ by the material of the sensitive element: TSM - copper, TSP - platinum. In turn, PMM is divided into 50M and 100M, and TSP - into 100P, Pt100. The difference between TSM and TSP lies only in the measured temperature range: TSM (-50.. 180C), and TSP (-50.. 500C). The 4-20 mA (or 0-20 mA) output provides enhanced resistance to electrical interference and has low signal losses when using very long cables; it can be transmitted losslessly over hundreds of meters. As an additional benefit, the 4-20 mA signal provides error state detection since even at its lowest value the sensor remains active. That is, at the extreme "zero" position, the sensor still outputs a 4 mA signal, and if the value ever drops to 0 mA, something is wrong with the device. In contrast, for sensors with 0-10 V output, a 0 V value may indicate either the zero position or that the sensor has simply stopped functioning. Temperature sensors with unified output signal TSPU-002: Convert resistance value into a current signal (4..20 mA) or voltage signal (0..10 V), proportional to the temperature value; Measure and transmit measured temperature value via RS-485 interface (protocol ModBus RTU). Features of TSPU-002 sensors: Minimum installation part length – 60 mm; Current consumption, no more than - 40 mA; DC supply voltage - (20..28) V; Protective fitting material - 12X18H10T stainless steel; Galvanic isolation between converter and measuring equipment; Enclosure protection rating - IP65.
