This medium is designed for use with OPEN Acrylics and will stay wet on the palette for extended periods without skinning over. It can be used to extend paint, regulate transparency, create glazes, reduce viscosity or improve adhesion and film integrity. It is formulated to a lower viscosity than OPEN Acrylic Colors and is used to maintain properties when a more fluid mixture is desired to increase flow. Acrylic Gel, Matte – Golden Open Acrylic Gel has a slightly softer feel than Golden Regular Gel (Gloss) and the same consistency as Golden Acrylics. It may be used for glazes and to extend the paints while maintaining working properties of Golden Open Acrylics. Golden Open Acrylics expand the boundaries of acrylic painting, making them suitable for artists whose painting style requires extended working time.
