For the currently modest price, relatively speaking, I think this is a pretty good nightstand. It’s a standard flat-pack self-assembly sort of piece, made out of manufactured wood — so it’s not going to be mistaken as a high-end piece of furniture and it probably won’t last forever, but it’s pretty cute and fairly steady once assembled.Although it’s a small piece of furniture, it still took me nearly an hour to put together, even using my own tools to assemble it, as there are a lot of pieces and you have to be pretty careful lining everything up and trying not to (as another reviewer mentioned) split the thin bits of wood, etc. To be fair, I got distracted a few times, or else I might’ve been able to speed through building this a bit faster haha.One of the most convenient elements with this end-table is the built in “charging station,” which consists of a couple of standard AC electrical outlets and a couple of USB-A outlets. That’s good for plugging in a phone or alarm clock or small lamp, etc… However, I wish the charging station included surge protection (I could be wrong, but I don’t think it does) like a proper powerbar would. And I wish it included at least one USB-C plug instead of only old-school USB-A. And I think it’d probably look nicer if the outlets were all located on the back or side of the table instead of on the top (once you start plugging a few things into this power bar, it starts looking cluttered with all of the cords sprouting out of the top of this table).
