12×12″ was a bit too small for me to comfortably tape down 8.5×11″ for cutting, so I appreciate this slightly larger mat. I like the color as well because after using for a while bits will come off and stick to the sides of my cuts. That’s not so much a problem when they’re light neutral colored versus a green mat.
