I purchased this to remove gummed up glue left on a wooden cabinet. The mess was caused by glue from packing tape that was used to secure doors and drawers. The previous owner had the item in storage and there were many large areas to be addressed. The stick worked to remove all of the gooey mess but did not damage the painted finish of the furniture. In some cases the stick had to be applied two or three times and then wiped. Now there is no evidence of the glue left at all. I am very pleased. There was an odor around the area where it was used but that dissipated quickly.
