My wife and I recently reupholstered my Grandmother’s old dining chairs, with fabric held on by literally hundreds of tacks! After wrestling with removing them from half of one chair, I bought this and after a few minutes getting comfortable with it, was removing tacks at a reasonable clip. This tool saved us many hours and much frustration.It also works pretty well for removing staples, which we had to do after slightly botching one chair and having to reposition its fabric. If you’re a professional, there are better tools, but they cost more. If you do this sort of thing only infrequently (or only once), this is a good tool that’s cheap enough to justify even for a single job. Definitely worth the money in time and frustration saved!
